Rule 31
A group of judges may be constituted to hear cases of a special nature
(1) The Chief Justice may form a group of judges so that cases of a specific nature or subject matter will be considered by a group of judges.
(2) When a group is formed according to sub-rule (1), the cases assigned to that group will be dealt with and disposed of by the judges within the same group designated by the Chief Justice.
(3) If a group is formed according to sub-rule (1), the senior judge of the group will act as the coordinator of the group.
(4) The Chief Justice may consult with the coordinator of the group as necessary when constituting the bench in the cases assigned to the group.
(5) According to sub-rule (1), when assigning a case for a group, the related cases shall be assigned in such a way that they are processed and sidelined from the group where the original case is. Explanation: For the purposes of this sub-rule, the term "original case" means the case which has been registered earlier and the civil case if there are civil and criminal cases registered on the same date unless otherwise ordered by the Bench.
(6) The Chief Justice may change the judges assigned to the group as per the need (7) Any judge assigned to the group may be assigned to hear other cases in addition to the case assigned to the group as needed.
